When you begin the admissions process at Silicon Valley Recovery, you will be greeted by a member of our team who will walk you through the process of starting your recovery. There will be a thorough inspection of belongings (please see the list of accepted and prohibited items on our “What to Bring” page) and then you will be given a room assignment. Once you’ve settled in, our staff will begin by conducting an intake assessment that will determine the course of treatment to address your individual needs.

This step requires you to answer some initial questions in an effort to offer you the best possible treatment during your stay. You may need to undergo some diagnostic tests and screenings so we can formulate a plan that best fits your needs. Our Admissions Counselor will support you because we understand that sharing this information can be difficult and takes great courage to do so. You are encouraged to ask for guidance while learning how the treatment program will be a good fit for you and your needs.
Admission & Orientation
This is the part of the process where you come to fill out the necessary paperwork, get to know the staff, and we offer an orientation to answer any additional questions you may have about your treatment with us. During this time, we will also provide you with a letter to excuse you from work and assist you with any disability documents for the duration of your stay with us. Our treatment team is dedicated to providing a safe space for you during the admission process because we understand that entering treatment can be a challenging and overwhelming experience.
Based on your pre-admission assessment, our treatment team and Clinicians will support you in beginning your recovery journey. We provide an approach that offers empathy and compassion for those who need detoxification from a substance. You’ll be supported in all realms of being human; physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Throughout your journey with us, you will be met with kindness and consistency when working closely with your Counselor and Therapist to support you in learning what factors may be impeding you from becoming the most authentic version of yourself. We treat substance use disorder and those with both substance use and mental health diagnosis. We understand that getting and staying sober are two very different pieces of a person’s life which is why we offer therapeutic modalities, psychoeducation through a rotating weekly format, 12-step recovery meetings daily, as well as relapse plan development.
Addiction recovery doesn’t stop with rehab admission and treatment. It is a life-long commitment that requires your constant willingness. The professionals at Opus Health will be with you every step of the way to ensure your success during and after treatment.
Consistency, willingness, honesty, and self-compassion are just a few of the principles that are important to practice for long-term sobriety. We offer a specialized and unique aftercare plan that will allow you to feel confident when walking out our doors onto your next adventure. This does not necessarily mean that you will not experience feelings of fear when doing so, but once you spread your wings, our alumni department will support you as you find your footing back into the world.
